Africa Textile and Apparel Manufacturing & Trade Policy Summit is a platform that offers clear, concise and incisive thought leadership that looks to the future and embraces all players in the industry.
Our programme is curated and created in cooperation with our Textile and Garment Manufacturing Advisory Board and it features an exciting and inclusive range of content unlike any other apparel and textile manufacturing event, presented in innovative ways. Speakers from the whole spectrum of the sector put West Africa’s garment and textile manufacturing transition into context, outline the challenges and opportunities it presents, and spotlight the innovative projects and technological solutions that will shape the evolution of the sector.
The Garment Manufacturing and Fashion sector is not only a crucial component but also a catalyst for economic growth and development in modern economies. It brings about numerous dynamic benefits that are essential for economic transformation. In most advanced countries, the fashion sector leads in several respects, providing a platform for increasing productivity through production and export expansion. Furthermore, it creates foreign exchange earning capacity, raises employment opportunities, and increases per capita income, which ultimately leads to unique consumption patterns.
To address the pressing issues facing the Textile and Apparel Manufacturing sector, these round-table discussions have been developed to generate insightful discourse and innovative solutions. Through these discussions, stakeholders can collaborate and explore viable strategies to tackle the challenges faced by the sector and enhance its contribution to the Nigerian economy.
Apparel Manufacturing & Trade Policy Summit is an invite-only Government and CEO-level forum. A series of roundtable discussions, chaired by the DG and President of Manufacturing associations, that address government policy and strategic-level industry topics, the roundtables host Federal Government Agencies, ECOWAS Officials, the MAN Executive Committee, International Trade Departments and Export Councils as well as C-level Industrialists and Financiers.

Inspired by the ongoing efforts to dismantle the barriers that prevent or discourage women from entering Africa’s manufacturing industry, and to facilitate conversations about advancing women into leadership positions.
The summit that will explore the importance of fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce, share career advice and real-life experiences, recommend actions companies can take to recruit women and advance them to leadership positions, and much more. The day will feature some of the biggest influencers in the Nigerian manufacturing sector, as well as women who have trailblazed in their careers.
